STANDS: Directions


Via Dullstroom:

This is the longer road but in better condition and you can have breakfast at Dullstroom.

From Pretoria/Johannesburg take the N4 past Middelburg take the offramp to Belfast . In Belfast turn right to Dullstroom on the way to Lydenburg. Some 5km before Lydenburg is the R577 left to Roossenkal.

Carry on the R577 for approx 22km when you will find a tar road to your right which reads Sekhukhune. Turn right here. Go to COMMON ROAD below….

Via Middelburg/Roosenekal

The second off ramp to Middelburg just after the dual carriage way becomes bi-directional, turn left to Middelburg.

This road ends in a T Junction in which you must turn right. 500m further is the R555 road that turns left to Stoffberg. Turn left here.

Caution: The road from here is badly potholed and you should drive carefully.

Carry on for 62km thru Stoffberg and just thereafter (couple of km) is a road that turns right to Roossenekal/Lydenburg. This is still the R555. Turn right.

Some 23km further is the R577 road that turns right to Roossenekal – Don't miss it… but enjoy it. The views are spectacular and you will climb the highest tar road in the old Transvaal .

Some 44km further down this road, turn left into the Sekhukune tar road.

COMMON ROAD:

18km from the Sekhukhune turnoff you will find the Maartenshoop police station on your left. Buffelskloof dam and Eco-reserve turn-off to your right.
