These sites are adjacent to a very important vlei (or marsh) that  permanently siphons water. Unfortunately the area is overrun by wattle and eucalyptus trees which will be rehabilitated, retaining the indigenous trees. This will revitalise the vlei which will make it jewel of the reserve attracting many bird species.

Top Left: Some of the large indigenous trees which will be retained.

Top Right: View over the marsh area in winter.

Centre Left: Eucalyptus and wattle thicket.

Bottom: Eucalyptus which are over 100 years old and some other indigenous trees near an old homestead.
